2026 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R Debuts with Price Hike, Older Model Gets Big Discount

Kawasaki has launched the 2026 Ninja ZX-10R in India, now priced at ₹19.49 lakh (ex-showroom), marking a substantial increase of ₹99,000 over the 2025 model. Notably, the older 2025 model—priced at ₹18.50 lakh—remains listed on the brand’s official website, with dealers offering discounts of up to ₹1.50 lakh until September 30, 2025, or while stocks last. Key Highlights Price and Strategy: The price hike for the 2026 model positions the remaining stock of the 2025 ZX-10R as an attractive proposition for buyers, given not only the discount but also the higher power and torque figures of the previous version. Performance Changes: The new 2026 Ninja ZX-10R now delivers 193.1 bhp and 112 Nm—representing a decrease of around 7 bhp and 2.9 Nm compared to the 2025 variant.

Kawasaki has not yet clarified the reason for this drop in performance, though all other aspects of the motorcycle remain largely unchanged. Features: The ZX-10R continues to offer a comprehensive electronics package, including a TFT console with smartphone connectivity, multiple riding modes, dual-channel ABS, cruise control, launch control, engine brake control, and traction control. It retains premium Showa BFF forks, a Showa BFRC rear monoshock, dual 330 mm front discs, a 220 mm rear disc, and an Ohlins electronic steering damper. Buying Decision With both the older and newer models on sale together, Kawasaki is likely encouraging customers to clear out stocks of the 2025 model.

The combination of a lower price, higher performance, and limited-time discount makes the 2025 ZX-10R a strong value proposition for enthusiasts looking to make a purchase before the end of September.
