2026 Kawasaki Z900RS Gains IMU and Cruise Control Enhancements

Kawasaki has introduced the 2026 update for its popular Z900RS retro sport motorcycle, adding modern electronic enhancements to complement its classic styling. The new model now features an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) that supports advanced rider aids such as cornering ABS and improved traction control, enhancing safety and performance on varied road conditions. One of the key additions in the 2026 Z900RS is the inclusion of cruise control, a highly requested feature that boosts rider comfort during long-distance journeys. This makes the bike more versatile for both city riding and touring without compromising its iconic neo-retro design.

The Z900RS continues to be powered by its 948cc liquid-cooled inline-four engine, delivering a robust 124 horsepower with smooth throttle response courtesy of electronic ride-by-wire. The chassis retains its high-tensile steel trellis frame, combined with adjustable suspension components that balance agility with stability. The motorcycle’s instrumentation upgrades to a large full-color TFT display integrated with the new IMU system, showing vital ride data including lean angle and riding mode status. LED lighting, refined ergonomics, and a comfortable seat complement the refreshed technology package, positioning the 2026 Z900RS as a harmonious blend of classic aesthetics and contemporary performance features.
