2026 KTM 250 Duke launched in India: Prices, changes explained
BikeRaja News · 7 March 2026
KTM India has introduced the 2026 version of the KTM 250 Duke in the Indian market with a starting price of ₹2.13 lakh (ex-showroom). The latest update focuses primarily on visual enhancements rather than mechanical upgrades, as the popular streetfighter receives new colour schemes and refreshed styling elements while retaining the same performance package that has made the Duke lineup a favourite among performance enthusiasts. The biggest highlight of the update is the introduction of two new colour options — Slate Grey and Silver Metallic. These new shades aim to provide riders with more styling choices while maintaining the aggressive design language that the Duke series is known for.
The Silver Metallic paint scheme offers a premium and refined look. It features a dark grey fuel tank combined with silver tank extensions, creating a sharp contrast that enhances the muscular appearance of the motorcycle. The design gives the bike a modern and sophisticated aesthetic while still keeping the sporty identity intact. On the other hand, the Slate Grey colour option presents a bold and distinctive appearance.
This version features grey-themed tank extensions paired with a striking orange fuel tank, delivering a contrasting design that highlights KTM’s signature sporty styling. The combination of grey and orange elements gives the motorcycle a dynamic and aggressive character. Alongside these newly introduced colours, the 250 Duke continues to be available in several existing colour schemes. These include the Atlantic Blue variant, which features a dual-tone finish complemented by bright orange alloy wheels, a combination that has become synonymous with KTM’s racing-inspired identity.
Another popular option is Electronic Orange, which carries KTM’s traditional dual-tone styling along with bold Duke graphics that emphasize its streetfighter personality. For riders who prefer a more understated appearance, the Ebony Black variant offers a stealthy all-black finish that enhances the bike’s aggressive silhouette. While the exterior styling has been refreshed, the mechanical setup of the motorcycle remains unchanged. The 2026 KTM 250 Duke continues to be powered by the same 248.8cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine.
This engine produces 31 horsepower and 25 Nm of peak torque, delivering strong mid-range performance suitable for both city commuting and highway riding. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox, and it also features a slipper clutch, which helps reduce rear wheel hopping during aggressive downshifts and improves overall ride control. The motorcycle is built on KTM’s lightweight steel trellis frame, which is designed to provide a balance of rigidity and agility for sharp handling. Suspension duties are handled by a 43 mm upside-down front fork and a rear mono-shock suspension, both tuned to offer a sporty yet comfortable ride across different road conditions.
In terms of braking hardware, the 250 Duke comes equipped with a 320 mm front disc brake and a 240 mm rear disc brake, supported by dual-channel ABS to enhance rider safety and braking stability. The motorcycle rides on 17-inch alloy wheels, which further contribute to its sharp handling characteristics and sporty stance. The KTM 250 Duke continues to occupy a strong position in the quarter-liter performance segment in India, appealing to riders who want a combination of aggressive styling, strong performance, and advanced hardware. With the introduction of new colour options, KTM aims to keep the model fresh and attractive for buyers looking for a stylish and performance-oriented street motorcycle in the mid-capacity segment.
With its refreshed design and proven mechanical package, the 2026 KTM 250 Duke remains one of the most popular choices for riders seeking a sporty naked bike that delivers both performance and everyday usability.
