Ducati has unveiled the all-new Hypermotard V2 and V2 SP at EICMA 2025, marking a significant evolution for the iconic supermoto-inspired motorcycle. The fourth-generation Hypermotard is powered by an all-new 890cc, 90-degree V-twin engine that delivers a peaky 120 horsepower at 10,750 rpm and 94 Nm of torque at 8,250 rpm. This engine, lighter and more compact than before, sacrifices a small portion of peak torque but makes more power overall, with 70% of torque available from as low as 3,000 rpm. The Hypermotard V2 features a lightweight aluminium monocoque chassis with the engine serving as a stressed member, combined with a double-sided swingarm for improved cornering stability.
Ducati has managed to shave off 13 kg compared to the outgoing 950, resulting in a wet weight of just 180 kg, while the high-spec V2 SP weighs a mere 177 kg thanks to forged aluminium wheels and Öhlins suspension components. Suspension on the V2 includes high-quality Kayaba USD forks and a fully adjustable monoshock, whereas the V2 SP ups the ante with fully adjustable Öhlins NIX 30 forks and an STX 46 rear shock. Braking is handled by dual 320mm discs with Brembo M4.32 calipers on the standard version, upgraded to M50 calipers on the SP, featuring a radial master cylinder and cornering ABS. The electronics suite is top-tier, centered around a 6-axis IMU that manages cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, and engine brake control.
Four riding modes—Race, Sport, Road, and Wet—allow riders to tailor the bike's behavior, with the SP also offering launch control and a pit-lane limiter. A crisp 5-inch TFT display provides ride data and track-relevant information in multiple themes. Styling remains true to the Hypermotard's roots, with underseat dual exhausts, a slim waist, and a tall, wide handlebar for an aggressive riding posture. Seat height stands at 880mm with a lower seat option for shorter riders, making the V2 versatile for a broad range of enthusiasts looking for performance and fun in a lightweight package.
