Hero MotoCorp Set to Launch New 440cc Motorcycle Soon, Bigger Line-Up Coming in 2026

New Delhi, August 2025 – Hero MotoCorp is gearing up for another push into the premium motorcycle segment, confirming that a brand-new 440cc bike will debut in the second quarter, with more exciting models scheduled for 2026. The announcement comes directly from Hero MotoCorp CEO Vikram Kasbekar, who revealed that the upcoming motorcycle has been developed under the company’s ongoing partnership with Harley-Davidson. A Strategic Partnership in the 440cc Space Hero’s alliance with Harley-Davidson has already delivered results in the form of the Mavrick 440, aimed at the competitive single-cylinder 350–450 cc market dominated by brands like Royal Enfield. While the Mavrick 440 appears to have been quietly discontinued in India, this partnership is far from over.

The next product on the 440cc platform is expected to be unveiled soon, though it remains unclear whether it will wear the Hero badge or the Harley-Davidson logo. What Could Be on the Horizon? Speculation points toward the Mavrick 440 Scrambler, a variant recently trademarked by Hero MotoCorp and with its design patented in India. If launched, it would likely feature scrambler-specific hardware such as block-pattern tyres, a high-mounted exhaust, reinforced suspension, and minimal bodywork – directly taking on the Royal Enfield Scram 440.

Another possibility could be a premium re-launch of the Mavrick 440, incorporating upgrades first showcased at EICMA 2024. The display model featured a TFT instrument cluster, gold-finished USD front forks, and enhanced equipment for a more upmarket appeal. Looking Ahead While no official launch date has been set beyond the "very soon" promise, the second quarter timeline hints at a reveal within months. With multiple products already confirmed for 2026, Hero’s 440cc platform appears to be the foundation for a sustained premium push.

If the new model is indeed the Mavrick 440 Scrambler, expect a slightly higher price than the standard Mavrick 440, aimed at riders seeking versatility, style, and off-road capability.
