Honda CB1000 Hornet SP Recalled in India Over Engine Issue

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has announced a voluntary recall for its flagship naked sports bike, the CB1000 Hornet SP, in the Indian market. The recall affects a limited number of units manufactured during specific production batches, following the discovery of a potential engine component defect. According to the company, certain units may experience irregular engine performance due to a possible fault in the fuel injection system that could lead to stalling or unexpected loss of power under heavy acceleration. While no accidents or injuries have been reported so far, Honda stated that the recall is being conducted as a precautionary measure to ensure rider safety and maintain product reliability.

Authorized Honda BigWing dealerships will contact owners of the affected motorcycles to schedule free inspection and repairs. The company will replace the faulty parts, if required, at no cost to the customer. Owners can also confirm whether their motorcycle is part of the recall by providing the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) at their nearest Honda BigWing service center. The Honda CB1000 Hornet SP, known for its 999 cc inline-four engine and high-performance street dynamics, was launched earlier this year as Honda’s premium offering in the liter-class naked segment.

With this recall, Honda reinforces its commitment to maintaining strict safety standards and customer trust in the Indian market.
