Honda has officially introduced the 2026 CB1000F, a retro-inspired naked motorcycle that artfully blends iconic design cues from the 1980s with the latest in riding technology. As the latest addition to the CB family, the new CB1000F takes inspiration from legendary models like the CB900F Bol D’Or and CB750F while delivering enhanced performance and rider aids for today’s enthusiasts. The 2026 CB1000F’s styling stands out with a sculpted tank, classic round headlamp, dual horns, bold 1980s-inspired graphics, and a megaphone-style exhaust that evokes the golden era of superbikes. Despite its nostalgic appearance, the CB1000F is thoroughly modern under the skin.
At its heart lies a detuned 999cc inline-four engine derived from the 2017-2019 CBR1000RR Fireblade, producing 122bhp at 9,000rpm and 103Nm of torque at 8,000rpm. Honda has revised the camshafts, optimized valve timing, and introduced new intake funnels to create a strong, usable torque curve and a distinctive soundtrack. The engine is paired to a six-speed transmission with an assist and slipper clutch for smoother gear changes. On the chassis and electronics front, the CB1000F features a steel diamond frame, 41mm fully adjustable Showa USD forks, and a Showa rear monoshock.
The braking system includes dual 310mm front discs with four-piston Nissin radial calipers and a 240mm rear disc, both with cornering ABS. High-tech rider aids are enabled by a six-axis IMU, providing selectable power modes, engine braking, traction control, wheelie control, and multiple user-customizable riding settings. Other highlights include a five-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity, full LED lighting, 795mm seat height, kerb weight of 214kg, and a 16-litre fuel tank. With its distinctive look and advanced technology, Honda’s new CB1000F is set to win over both retro lovers and performance-oriented riders alike.
