Kawasaki Unveils Rally-Inspired KLE500 Adventure Bike for 2026
BikeRaja News · 25 October 2025
Kawasaki has taken the wraps off the brand-new KLE500 for 2026, reviving its storied presence in the adventure bike class. With rally-inspired styling and robust off-road capability, the KLE500 is built for riders who want versatility on both city streets and rugged trails. At its heart is a liquid-cooled, 451cc parallel-twin engine derived from the Ninja 500, paired with an assist and slipper clutch for smooth power delivery and enhanced control, especially under tough terrain. The KLE500 features a high-tensile steel trellis frame, a tall windscreen, slim bodywork for easy rider movement, and a spacious 16-litre fuel tank—ideal for long journeys.
Comfort and control are addressed with motocross-inspired design elements, including narrow seat profiles, long side covers, and upright ergonomics that suit both seated and standing riding positions. Suspension duties are managed by a KYB inverted front fork and a Uni-Trak linked rear monoshock, while ground clearance measures a capable 172mm. Wheel setup consists of a 21-inch front and 17-inch rear, spoked for durability and paired with disc brakes featuring ABS. The KLE500 also boasts modern features such as a digital TFT instrument cluster, LED lighting, smartphone connectivity, and selectable ride modes.
The KLE500 is expected to enter international markets in standard and Special Edition variants, offering accessories such as a taller windshield, upgraded skid plate, and reinforced hand guards. Pricing is set attractively for adventure seekers, with launches anticipated during the upcoming motorcycle exhibitions.
