Kawasaki Z300 Unveiled in India
Kunal Suvarna · 12 October 2026
Kawasaki has revealed the Z300 in India, an entry-level naked motorcycle based on the Ninja 300 that expands the company's Z-series street-naked range. The reveal took place at an event in Bengaluru. This is an unveiling, not a price launch: Kawasaki has confirmed dates for bookings and pricing, but no price has been announced.

How It Differs from the Ninja 300
The Z300 shares its platform, engine and gearbox with the Ninja 300, but it drops the fairing for a naked look and swaps the clip-ons for a single-piece upright handlebar, aiming at a more relaxed riding position. Autocar India says the TFT display replaces the Ninja 300's semi-digital unit. Beyond that, the coverage we found does not detail the chassis, suspension, brakes or electronics, so it is not yet clear what, if anything, differs underneath.
What Hasn't Been Revealed
- Price: official figure due October 20.
- Weight, seat height and fuel tank size: not stated in the reports we reviewed.
- Brakes, tyres, ABS and electronic aids: not mentioned. Ride modes, traction control and a quickshifter are not confirmed either.

Price Expectations and Rivals
Kawasaki has not given a price, so any figure is speculation. For reference, the faired Ninja 300 is listed at ₹3.34 lakh ex-showroom. Autocar India and NewsBytes both suggest that a price near ₹3 lakh would put the Z300 up against the KTM 390 Duke and the TVS Apache RTR 310. Autocar India adds that it expects the Z300 to be more refined than those bikes but not to match them on outright performance or chassis specification, which is its opinion, not a tested result. Treat the comparison as a guide to where Kawasaki may be aiming, not as a confirmed positioning.
