New Hero Mavrick 440 Spotted with USD Forks Ahead of Imminent India Launch

Hero MotoCorp appears ready to relaunch its Mavrick 440, as a refreshed version of the motorcycle has recently been spotted in India. The return of the Mavrick 440 comes just months after it was discontinued due to lackluster sales, but the latest updates aim to boost its appeal in the highly competitive mid-capacity segment. The biggest highlight of the updated Mavrick 440 is the addition of new USD (upside-down) front suspension with eye-catching golden fork tubes, suggesting a more premium and sporty setup. Alongside this technical upgrade, the motorcycle sports fresh graphics on the fuel tank and a light golden finish on the engine cover, giving it a modernized appearance.

While the leaked spy shot hints at a possible new instrument cluster, no clear visual evidence is available yet. Mechanically, the Mavrick 440 is expected to remain unchanged. The bike continues with its 440cc air-cooled engine, producing 27bhp and 36Nm of peak torque, and is paired with a six-speed gearbox known for its robust and versatile performance. This updated version of the Mavrick 440 was first showcased at EICMA last year, and the recent sighting signals that Hero has not given up on the model.

The official launch is anticipated in the coming weeks, potentially accompanied by a modest price increase reflecting the technical enhancements and cosmetic tweaks. Hero MotoCorp’s move underlines its commitment to catering to Indian riders seeking a muscular, feature-rich motorcycle in the 400cc segment.
