BikeRaja News · 9 August 2025
The upcoming Himalayan 750 has been spied undergoing road tests, giving enthusiasts the clearest look yet at what could be Royal Enfield’s most powerful adventure motorcycle to date. The test mule, captured on video, suggests that development is in an advanced phase, with the model inching closer to production. A Significant Step Up in Performance The Himalayan 750 is expected to be powered by a newly developed parallel-twin, 750cc liquid-cooled engine, marking a substantial leap from the current 450cc platform. Industry insiders speculate that the motor could produce upwards of 60 bhp and 70 Nm of torque, making it ideal for high-speed touring and challenging off-road conditions.
Design & Chassis Upgrades Spy shots reveal a more muscular and taller stance compared to the Himalayan 450. Key elements include: Long-travel USD front forks and a monoshock rear for better off-road performance. Larger spoked wheels (likely 21-inch front, 18-inch rear) shod with dual-purpose tyres. High-mounted front fender and extended windscreen for improved wind protection.
Side-mounted pannier mounts and luggage rack to cater to touring needs. The frame appears reinforced, hinting at improved load-bearing capacity for riders and gear during long expeditions. Feature Expectations The Himalayan 750 could debut with a full-colour TFT instrument cluster featuring smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. Other expected features include: Ride-by-wire throttle Multiple riding modes Switchable ABS Slipper clutch LED lighting package Positioning & Launch Timeline The new model will sit above the Himalayan 450, targeting riders who want more power without compromising off-road capability.
It will likely compete with bikes such as the Triumph Tiger 660 and Suzuki V-Strom 800. A launch is expected in late 2026, as the company finalises testing and production readiness. Pricing could start around ₹4.5–5 lakh (ex-showroom), placing it firmly in the premium ADV category in India. The Himalayan 750 represents not just an evolution but a strategic expansion of Royal Enfield’s adventure line-up, aimed at both domestic and global markets.
