Triumph Trident 800 Roadster Caught on Camera: What to Expect
BikeRaja News · 10 September 2025
Triumph Motorcycles has been spotted testing the much-anticipated Trident 800, signaling the arrival of a new mid-capacity roadster that fills the gap between the popular Trident 660 and the more powerful Street Triple lineup. The new model is expected to bring the perfect blend of classic Triumph styling and modern performance upgrades. What to Expect Based on spy images and reports, the Trident 800 retains the neo-retro design language familiar from the Trident 660, with a round headlamp, small flyscreen, and a clean tail section. The bike gains a more substantial presence with a bigger fuel tank, split seats, and a larger side-slung exhaust, drawing mechanical inspiration from the Tiger Sport 800.
Under the hood, it is powered by a 798cc, liquid-cooled, triple-cylinder engine producing approximately 113 horsepower and 84Nm of torque. This engine, borrowed from the Tiger Sport 800, promises robust mid-range performance tuned for everyday riding rather than track-focused speed. Features and Technology The Trident 800 is expected to feature advanced rider aids including multiple riding modes (Sport, Road, Rain), cruise control, bidirectional quickshifter, traction control, dual-channel ABS, and a six-axis IMU for enhanced safety and convenience. Positioned as a more affordable yet versatile all-rounder, the Trident 800 aims to attract riders who want more power and tech upgrades without moving to the higher-strung Street Triple models.
Market Outlook While no official launch date or pricing details have been released yet, the ongoing testing hints at a possible launch in India and other key markets soon. The Trident 800 looks set to solidify Triumph’s mid-capacity streetbike lineup with a perfect mix of style, performance, and usability.
