Versys-X 300 Now More Affordable Against KTM and Royal Enfield Rivals

Kawasaki has reduced the price of its Versys-X 300 adventure bike by Rs 30,000, bringing the ex-showroom price down from Rs 3.79 lakh to Rs 3.49 lakh. This price cut aligns with the new GST 2.0 tax regime recently implemented, making the bike a more competitive option in the mid-size adventure segment. The Versys-X 300 features a purposeful design inspired by its bigger Kawasaki Versys siblings. It sports a high-mounted fairing, sharp body lines, and a chunky fuel tank that accentuates its rugged character.

Powering the bike is a 296cc parallel-twin engine producing 38.5 bhp at 11,500 rpm and 26.1 Nm torque at 10,000 rpm, mated to a smooth six-speed gearbox. The chassis includes a steel frame supported by telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock suspension. The bike rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wire-spoke wheels fitted with tube-type tires, which some regard as a minor drawback due to the maintenance involved compared to tubeless tires. The Kawasaki Versys-X 300 competes directly with rivals like the KTM 390 Adventure S, priced at Rs 3.92 lakh, and the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, priced at Rs 3.05 lakh.

The recent price cut strengthens the Versys-X 300's position as an attractive choice for adventure enthusiasts seeking capability and style within a reasonable budget.
