Yamaha has made a significant entry into India’s electric two-wheeler segment with the unveiling of the all-new EC-06 electric scooter. Developed in collaboration with River Mobility, the EC-06 targets daily commuters with a blend of modern features and practical design. Visually, the scooter adopts a bold, boxy silhouette complemented by sharp body lines and a distinctive LED headlamp, making it stand out on urban roads. Powering the EC-06 is a 4kWh fixed battery pack that delivers a certified range of 160km on a single charge.
This battery works alongside a 4.5kW electric motor with a peak output of 6.7kW, enabling a claimed top speed of 90kmph and promising brisk urban performance. Charging the battery is hassle-free, needing about nine hours via a standard home socket. Equipped with three riding modes and a reverse assist function, the EC-06 prioritizes convenience and adaptability for city traffic. It features a clear LCD display with integrated telematics for real-time data and connectivity, while under-seat storage of 24.5 litres adds extra daily practicality.
Designed for both style-conscious riders and those seeking efficient daily mobility, the Yamaha EC-06 sets a new benchmark in the electric commuter market, with a price announcement slated for early 2026.
