Yamaha FZ-RAVE Launched: Sharper City Styling and Trusted Performance at ₹1.17 Lakh

Yamaha has introduced the FZ-RAVE to the Indian market at an introductory price of ₹1,17,218 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Building on the familiar FZ lineup, the FZ-RAVE is designed with a sharper focus on city riding, featuring modern updates that enhance both style and practicality. The motorcycle sports a full-LED projector headlight with position light, a sculpted fuel tank sporting aerodynamic vents, and a compact exhaust that keeps the rear slick and tidy. The single-piece seat, crisp tail lamp, and overall design prioritize both commuting comfort and enjoyable evening rides.

Powering the FZ-RAVE is Yamaha’s dependable 149cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine, producing 12.2bhp and paired with a five-speed gearbox. The setup promises a smooth, user-friendly ride—ideal for frequent starts, calm mid-range acceleration, and minimal gear changes during city traffic. With a light 136kg kerb weight and 17-inch wheels, the bike is set to deliver agile handling without feeling twitchy. Its 13-litre fuel tank supports a reasonable riding range, suitable for daily city use and short weekend getaways.

To ensure safety, the FZ-RAVE is equipped with single-channel ABS working alongside disc brakes on both wheels, offering better control on rough roads and added confidence during sudden stops. The cockpit features a straightforward and traditional display, echoing the retro influences of the FZ range. Buyers can choose between Matte Titan and Metallic Black colour options, highlighting the FZ-RAVE’s blend of contemporary styling and classic reliability.
