Yamaha R3 and MT-03 to Get Rs. 30,000 Price Cut After GST Reduction

Yamaha has announced that the popular R3 and MT-03 motorcycles will become more affordable starting September 22, 2025, following the reduction of GST on bikes under 350cc from 28% to 18%. The company has confirmed that both models will see a price cut of around ₹30,000 each. Price and Market Position Currently, the Yamaha R3 and MT-03 are priced at ₹3.60 lakh and ₹3.50 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively. This will be the second price reduction since their launch, with an earlier revision in January 2025 bringing prices down by ₹1.10 lakh for both models.

The latest price drop is expected to boost sales during the ongoing festive season, especially as these multi-cylinder models face a competitive market where initial high pricing affected demand. Performance and Features Both bikes share the same 321cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that produces 41.4 bhp and 29.5 Nm of torque. Built on a diamond-type chassis, these motorcycles promise a refined riding experience with a focus on sporty handling and top-end performance. The Yamaha R3 and MT-03 come equipped with telescopic forks in front, a monoshock at the rear, single disc brakes both front and rear, dual-channel ABS, an LCD instrument cluster, and LED headlights and tail lamps.

Their aerodynamic styling and reliable hardware continue to make them aspirational choices for enthusiasts seeking a blend of performance and everyday usability.
